Marisa holds a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with an emphasis in Lighting Design and Scenic Painting. 

She also studied Stage Management and Scenic Design.

 

Marisa is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin working as a lighting designer, electrician, and scenic painter. Before beginning her career as a freelance designer, Marisa completed an internship in Project Management at Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) and held jobs as a House Manager at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre; as a Lead Technician for UW-Stevens Point's "Program Services" setting up and running lighting and audio for campus events; as a Scene Shop assistant (carpenter) building sets; and as a lighting technician for the Carlsten Art Gallery on campus. Marisa seeks opportunities that will help expand her knowledge and experience.  

 

She grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Her passion for theatre tech began in the 7th grade, and she served on tech crew for every show through the rest of middle and high school, expanding her knowledge in technical theatre and design. She loves engaging the creative part of her mind in her work and enjoys spending any extra time hiking.
